Dr. Daniel Gonzalez is a bilingual Internal Medicine physician with over 15 years of healthcare experience, beginning his career as a radiologic technologist before earning his medical degree in the top 5% of his class from a private university in Costa Rica. His early hands-on experience, combined with his compassionate, patient-centered approach, inspired his commitment to equitable and preventive care. Now practicing as a hospitalist at HCA Kendall Hospital, Dr. Gonzalez specializes in managing chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and heart failure, with a strong focus on geriatric and preventive medicine. Inspired by his family’s legacy—especially his grandfather, a Cuban immigrant and pediatrician—Dr. Gonzalez brings trust, empathy, and a deep respect for long-term wellness to every patient he serves at South Florida Medicine.
